Best Builder – We moved in to a new house built by Larry Champagne and his company Champagne Ventures. What a wonderful experience it was. Everything that was done had that added touch, like the fence, because of the unevenness of the ground there were quiet a few gaps for our dog to go through, without even being asked Larry’s staff went through and boarded up all the places where it was possible for the dog to get through. We were also asked if we would like to customize the closet shelving, and it was done just as we requested. This is the third new house purchase for us, including a custom built, and this was by far the best builder we had the pleasure of working with. Additions with excellence -  A friend was telling me about the extension he was having done to his house, by Champagne Ventures Ltd.  Once seeing the project, I was more than interested. I met with Larry and discussed my concept, and what I wanted to accomplish. I had a vision for the end result, and no way of knowing how to get there. No question was too small or irrelevant for him. The transformation is amazing, much better than I envisioned. The part of the house that was renovated, is no longer, cramped, dark, with a feel of being enclosed. It is the opposite -- natural light, spacious, and most of all a feeling of openness and elegance. The calibre of work is first class, and the team working with him is exceptional. Rezoning

On time & on budget -  Regarding Larry Champagne and Champagne Ventures construction of a duplex on Caldwell Road in Sooke. Larry owned a piece of property which he intended to rezone and build a duplex on. My wife and I became interested in the property, and had several meetings with him to explore the possibility of building a duplex to our own design. We viewed a couple of his previous projects, under construction and completed, and were generally impressed with his higher than average standard of finishing and attention to detail. Over the course of several discussions we finalised the specifications and cost, and then took our ideas to the architect who produced the plans. The project was completed on time, on budget and to our satisfaction. We spent a lot of time at the job site checking on progress. Larry was extremely easy to work with. He is very customer-oriented, and dealt with all our queries quickly and efficiently. He had many helpful ideas and suggestions as the design evolved, and nothing was ever too much trouble for him. His trades turned up on time when required. Customer satisfaction is clearly his main priority, and for this he is to be commended. We are delighted with the finished result. I consider the general standard of construction to be well above the average spec house. At no time did I feel that he had tried to cut costs by using cheap fittings. The bathrooms and kitchen fittings are much better than I expected, and I cannot find any evidence of cheap materials being used anywhere.  I would not hesitate to have another house built by Larry. The end result was an excellent home, completed on time for a very fair price. The whole project was much less stressful than I anticipated, due to excellent service. ~ Satisfied Customer, August  2007

Superior Supervisory Skills & Excellent Client Rapport -  Larry Champagne was employed by Kinetic Construction as a Site Superintendent from 1992 to 2002 on projects valued up to $6 million. I worked with Larry during his time with Kinetic since 1997 and thought of him as Kinetic's "MVP" when it came to getting a project done. Larry has a knack at getting the trades motivated to do the best work they can and to do it on schedule. He always keeps a positive outlook no matter how challenging the project and has a great rapport with consultants and clients.
